As the title says, MIRAGE has announced another performance--hopefully they'll be even more active in the year to come!
As the vk.gy artist database expands, it gains more “doppelgänger bands”—bands which share the same name and are hard to tell apart. Today, I'd like to share some of the more interesting cases I've run across.
According to KISAKI, “Due to cancellations, two UCP lucky bags have been restocked. Two additional KISAKI lucky bags have been restocked as well.”
NEOLOGI has announced their first single, [DD], for a 2016-01-27 release.
LIN will sell several special items at their last live [before pausing activities] on 2015-11-22 at Shinjuku BLAZE―including some that are limited to 1 copy. Furthermore, customers who spend 4,000 yen will be allowed to take a photograph with the band (or favorite member). The band will also collaborate with visual shop Like an Edison for regular sales.
NEOLOGI (ex-Syndrome, zechs, etc.) bassist yuki has announced that he will secede at their 2014-12-30 live, due to his differing ideas. It appears that remaining two members pami. and Asami will continue for the time being, with the intention of formally starting activities some time in the future.
Back in his Syndrome days, KISAKI was a guest member of ANTIFEMINISM (アンチフェミニズム). This year, the project will reach its 15th anniversary―and KENZI and KISAKI have collaborated to produce an ANTIFEMINISM special event!
LIN's official web shop has had a number of updates (namely, a metric shit-ton of 1-copy-limited bootleg live DVDs). So here's a little roundup:
LIN (凛 -THE END OF CORRUPTION WORLD-) have opened their official blog, official Twitter (@LIN_V_OFFICIAL), and [official web shop]. In true KISAKI fashion, the web shop already has a number of exclusives, including a bunch of 1-limited releases we'll never see 8|
Pami。 (ぱみ。), ex-vocalist of Syndrome and zechs, will start his new band Neologic. Their concept is “New Entertainment Orgamoze Logic”, and their self-described sound is “electro, emo, and screamo loud band”.
REALies and ARLEQUIN (アルルカン) are the cover artists for June's edition of freepaper Vijuttoke! Furthermore, REALies is also one of the cover artists of Vol.017 of freepaper SEVEN. You can check out the Vijuttoke duel covers above.
Here's the latest minor news:
KISAKI has announced that several limited goods will be sold at the [KISAKI birthday event] / the end of corruption world live on 2014-03-09:
KISAKI has announced a memorial event for AYAME, the ex-drummer of MIRAGE who passed away this year. The 3 day event features a slew of one-day revivals from infamous 90s visual kei bands, with MIRAGE headlining each event. Check out the full details below:

Here are some visual kei CDs and other items for sale. Originally, I was just cleaning out my personal collection, but I will start selling items for friends here in Tokyo as well, so the list will be updated every now and then. About 80 new items have been added, and there have been a few cancellations of orders, so I took the liberty of creating a new post.
Hi people. have the following Undercode and Matina items for sale:
On August 5th, 輪・廻・転・生 -Matina VS UNDER CODE PRODUCTION- (Rin・ne・ten・sei) was held at HOLIDAY OSAKA. I thought I'd post the setlists and a couple of photos from the event.
Tatsuya (ex-Syndrome) new band. Here is some sample about the first single.
UNDER CODE entered 2011 in a bit of a transitory state. Megaromania was only half active, NEGA was on hiatus, E'm ~grief~ had just disbanded, Arc and Synside were set to disband, and HEISEI ISHIN vocalist Taku had just died. After having, in my opinion, its worst year in 2010, UNDER CODE started 2011 in a low spot.
Well, Kansai Seiatsu 2011~2012 is officially over, and it was incredible! For those of you who attended the live stream, I'm so glad I got to share that moment with you! For those of you who couldn't watch, I did my best to keep track of the setlists. So here are those, plus some mini reports. Enjoy! And let's hope that there will be more events like this in the future!
Just wanted to post a couple of blog posts about HEISEI ISHIN vocalist Taku's death (December 10th was the one year anniversary, and December 13th would have been his 23rd birthday.)
Hi Under Code fans,
There are lots of little bits of news about last night's 輪・廻・転・生 ~A RETURN of “VISUAL MONSTER”~ (Rin・ne・ten・sei) event, and reports/pictures are just starting to pour in, so I thought I'd do a little roundup post. I'll add stuff as I find it (and feel free to add your own!)
The 90s visual kei revival live, 輪・廻・転・生 ~A RETURN of “VISUAL MONSTER”~, was held last night, and it seems that it was a success—a second and third part have just been announced!!
KISAKI PROJECT will soon hold their 90s visual kei revival event, 輪・廻・転・生 ~A RETURN of “VISUAL MONSTER”~ (Rin・ne・ten・sei). And it seems like someone announces a new item for the event every day—so let's see just how many cool goods we're missing out on, shall we?
Covers that have been up for a while, but I hadn't gotten around to posting:
REALies has just announced a 2012 five-city tour, although it's not yet clear whether all of these lives will be sponsored exclusively by the band. At any rate, they'll make another “important announcement” at the tour final in February, so be on the look out for that.
Vior gloire held their first oneman, 疑似カタストロフィー (Giji CATASTROPHE), at 心斎橋 (Shinsaibashi) FANJ-twice yesterday. Since I know we're all interested in them, I thought I'd share a few random details about the live:
Trying to make room for new stuff, care to help :D?!
All of this is old, but whatever, it's cool!

Hello fellow under code fans.
I started translatings this interview and here is part 1.
① KISAKI announced in his blog a few days ago that both a Syndrome and MIRAGE remastered best album would be released this year. It's great news for fans of either of those bands and for new KISAKI fans. (Quick summary: Syndrome was a VK super group of sorts--it included three members from D, a guitarist from MERRY (メリー), and the drummer from Shelly Trip Realize. Their music was kind of classic VK with techno elements--something like HISKAREA. MIRAGE was one of KISAKI's earliest successes--they even released a major album, although I don't think they actually achieved major status--but its members went on to do a whole lot of nothing.) Also sad, because the releases imply that KISAKI really will be retiring forever. See the cut for more information.
