Mist and fade tour gets canceled due to members of THE DEAD P☆P STARS (who organized the first gig) and MIRAGE (who organized the second) being infected with COVID-19.
Threeman with Deshabillz and Phobia "Rin・ne・ten・sei ~A RETURN of "VISUAL MONSTER" 2022" (輪・廻・転・生~A RETURN of "VISUAL MONSTER" 2022~) held (originally meant to be thirst and final live of the "Mist and fade" tour). YOMI is absent due to being infected with COVID.
Around this time, KISAKI gives an interview in Barks magazine discussing his 30th anniversary activities and album trilogy. In this interview he discusses how the 3rd period of MIRAGE came about as a means to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Originally, KISAKI made it seem like this would be a session performance or an event, but vocalist Akira said he was willing to do a more legitimate performance. This eventually evolved into recording a full album and recruiting new members to fill out the 5-man lineup. The interview also stated that this period of activities was only supposed to last for a year, which was not shared at the start of their revival.
