According to Kyo (京) in SHOXX vol. 70 (December 1998), he and Kisaki met for the first time after the disbandment live of Gesshoku (月蝕) on April 11, 1994.
Bassist Kisaki and vocalist Kyo form continuous session band Haijin Kurobarazoku (廃人黒薔薇族). Despite Kisaki being active in Stella Maria at the time, he and Kyo begin plans for a formal band together.
Kyo coins the name La:Sadie's (meaning "sadness") and the band begins advertising itself via a flyer that reveals only the vocalist. On two flyers for Haijin Kurobarazoku (廃人黒薔薇族), published in November 1995, Kyo is noted to be from La:Sadie's, whereas Kisaki is noted to be from Stella Maria.
One of the aforementioned flyers was distributed by Kyo after Haijin Kurobarazoku (廃人黒薔薇族)'s live at Osaka Shiroten.

Kyo (京) and Kaoru (薫) meet for the first time at Osaka-jo Hall while handing out flyers for La:Sadie's and CHARM, respectively.

The live at Osaka Shiroten is listed in the band's history book, but not on flyers from that time. It's possible they did not perform, considering they also performed at Namba W'OHOL on this day.
Toshiya and the future members of DIR EN GREY meet for the first time when he comes to greet La:Sadie's after their live. There appears to be a video recording of this show.
According to Toshiya in GiGS DIR EN GREY BASS & DRUMS BOOK feat. Toshiya & Shinya, there were rumors of La:Sadie's coming to an end around this time already. At the aftershow party, Kyo asked Toshiya if he wants to be in a band with him.

La:Sadie's was a visual kei band. They were part of the kote kei subgenre. They were active from 1995 to 1997 and are now disbanded.
