CHARM forms.
Note: A live VHS with three songs and a comment by the band exists. They also recorded demo tapes that Kaoru keeps at his parents' house. At a talk event in 2017, he recalled a song called "Sympathy".
Note: In Kaoru's book Dokugen, he says that the first place he went to with a demo tape to book a performance was Amagasaki LIVE SQUARE VIVRE.
At some point, the band joins the label Ciel noir.
Note: In an interview for Arena37°C #220, Kaoru says that he wasn't in a band when he got 20 years old (February 17, 1994). In GiGS DIR EN GREY GUITAR BOOK feat. Kaoru & Die, Kaoru says that he was in CHARM for at least two years.
Note: In Dokugen, Kaoru mentions that during the Kobe earthquake (January 17, 1995), he worked at a glass factory in Osaka and was in CHARM at the time. Contrary to the GiGS interview, he also says that CHARM only lasted for about a year. At their lives, they had around hundred spectators.

Around this time, Kaoru and Die meet for the first time when CHARM and Ka・za・ri perform at the same live at Amagasaki LIVE SQUARE VIVRE. In Haiiro no Ginka #24, Kaoru explains that this was at CHARM's second live at that livehouse.
Kyo (京) and Kaoru (薫) meet for the first time at Osaka-jo Hall while handing out flyers for their bands, La:Sadie's (or possibly Haijin Kurobarazoku (廃人黒薔薇族)) and CHARM, respectively.
