At the beginning of the year, drums and guitars recording begin at Landmark Studio, in Yokohama (横浜)横浜. TATSU decides at some point due to conflicts in musical direction.
In February, the band was suposed to track vocals and film their first PV in Los Angeles, but the schedule gets postponed to March due to the 1994 Northridge earthquake.
A postcard announcing the formation of D.T.R, which stands for Dirty Trashroad, is sent to members of Sawada's fan club.

Fan club newsleter No. 2 arrives. From then on, GASOLINE COWBOY morphs into D.T.R's fan club and a exclusive secret gig at Ebisu GUILTY reaches the members. Around this time, music magazines have also published news about the debut album.

Tracking starts. A few days behind Fujimoto's birthday, a party is held at Roppongi's PiPs.
The band takes part in ROCK ON KOBE, a benefit concert held at Shibuya ON AIR EAST. TUSK, ZIGGY, KEN, Keiko Terada, ACTION, Kyoji Yamamoto and others were part of the lineup. Performers raised over 3.3 million yen for charity.

A fan club gathering is held at Roppongi's PiPS, with a session band with members and fans.
A concert was scheduld to take place at Kobe Gakuin University School Festival (神戸学院大学学園祭), but was cancelled due to Takeuchi's hospitalization and Sawada breaking his left hand after an accident. GRAND SLAM appeared instead. On the same day, Fujimoto takes part in a live entitled THE ULTRA SESSION at Meguro ROCKMAYKAN, a session tournament with various musicians. A similar session was held at Osaka Banana Hall, on November 10th.
A charity auction tournament was held for D.T.R fan club members, giving proceeds and a tricycle to children with AIDS.
Mitsuo Takeuchi suddenly depparts, as all members receive the news with great shock. It seems his withdrawal is notified by an agent, not himself. It was publicly announced in May, and then the band was put on hold when Taiji was going through personal problems. The newsletter and fan club activites stop around the same time.
D.T.R disbands

D.T.R disbands due to musical differences. Sawada and Kuroda announces a new D.T.R, now standing for Death To Rive, as they are recruiting new members
Sawada passes away. There are no official announcements about the future activities of the new D.T.R.
All the surviving members reunite for a special event called 「Dear TAIJI Forever ~arigatō ta-chan~ (~ありがとう たーちゃん~)」. After this first event, they have played together under several other "D.T.R." abbreviations, most recently as Direct Toward Revival, with the band consisting of all of D.T.R's longtime members and a replacement bassist.
D.T.R was a non-vkei band in Tokyo. They were active from 1994 to 2009 and are now disbanded.
