Store-limited “image concert” tour, Saikai no ETUDE (再会のエチュード), begins. At each stop, footage from the band's 2000-08-06 oneman at Akasaka (赤坂) BLITZ is shown. A message video is freely distributed to attendees.

At the time, KAMIJO apparently planned to revive the band with himself being the sole member and the rest being support, but EMIRU decided to re-join due to his band RIBBON disbanding. KAMIJO also asked MACHI to act as support drummer, but he recommended KAZUMI instead.
Former bassist EMIRU rejoins. Drummer KAZUMI joins and MOTOKI begins as support guitarist.

Due to the band having been unable to contact guitarist MAYU since July, and it being difficult to continue activities without an official guitarist, they announce that they will indefinitely pause activity after their February event.
Last live before pausing activity is held.

Although the band calls it an “indefinite activity pause,” KAMIJO specifies in his comment that the “pause” is extremely close to a “disbandment,” and that he expects LAREINE to “sleep eternally.”
Talk event at Death-trap ID is held, with attendance limited to those who had purchased the band's December DVD. Only KAMIJO and EMIRU appear.
This is the band's last appearance before indefinitely pausing activity.

One-day revival is held at the grand finale of KAMIJO's anniversary celebration tour, 20th ANNIVERSARY BEST.
LAREINE's first major album, "Fierté no Umi to Tomo ni Kiyu ~THE LAST OF ROMANCE~ (フィエルテの海と共に消ゆ ~THE LAST OF ROMANCE~)" is made available for streaming in its entirety for the first time, globally, 25 years after release. Previously, only the instrumental tracks were available.
LAREINE was a visual kei band. They were part of the art kei, kote kei, shiro kei, and tanbi kei subgenres. They were active from 1994 to 2007 and are now disbanded.
Sony is really weird about their distribution for some reason. Like, the album that the latter song is on is technically on Spotify, but internationally it looks like only 4 of the 16 songs on it are available?
Dress Code is one of my faves by them too but for seemingly no reason, only a handful of APPLAUSE RECORDS works are available. You'd think that would be easy since Kamijo should have the distribution rights to it, but idk 🤷
Update on this, Fierte no Umi has just been added to streaming and download services. To me, it looks like Kamijo now has full rights to this music, because he also just mentioned being able to perform those songs on the Lareine-themed dates of the upcoming tour. However, this is somewhat speculation on my part. I would also like to note, it's not that the album was only ever partially available internationally. Rather, even in Japan, only the SE tracks were streamable. Only just now is this masterpiece of an album digitally available for the first time.
