This doesn't seem to look good for SW, since they were their biggest act currently signed, no?

That, and the lack of digital releases for the past year (when literally the whole scene switched to digital) has been unusual.

I think Scarlet Valse is bigger and they also lack digital releases. I doubt the releases are the "weak point" for that reason. It's shit for us foreigners. but Japanese fans can buy such releases easy anyway. However I've checked the price for the releases... and they are simply overpriced. also the crowdfunding they did do.... how much more need fans to pay.. for receiving almost nothing?

I hope if they go independent that they will release their releases much cheaper and of course also the digital way and that they find a gentle way to earn money. Well we will see what kind of independent future they will have, I hope a positive one.

Yeah, regarding digital releases, I know we are missing a bunch from XANVALA (who are like sort of signed but not really?), and releases from UNDER FALL JUSTICE, La'veil MizeriA, Scarlet Valse, and LIVERECHT (リブレヒト). It's just surprising, since SW / DL were always the label that handled digitally released content the best for the past decade.

That's because I do not support SW bands anymore joke lol. I think about since.. 2015? Kiwamu stopped to put much online. Even the very last Calmando Qual release(s) aren't available for digital download. I think Kiwamu decided this because well we foreign fans always uploaded any release which became available. So SW became pretty much "Japan only". However still the prices of each release are crazy expensive and a bunch releases are even "own" burned. So count up the profits. So it's really not something new that we don't get much anymore digitally. It's just Kiwamu can make more profit if he only sells it at his webshop and at lives.

But even selling digitally does cost a label/independent band a lot of money (100% if nobody or just a handfull people buy it), bandcamp is the most cheap one (because you only pay bandcamp a fee for each sold download/sold item) but other platforms are truly expensive to sell your music on via an easy way, because you pay a yearly/monthly fee.
