In collaboration with major record shop SHISEIDO (新星堂), the band launches and joins its own label, PROTO-TYPE.
ILLUMINA become a major act and sign to Flight Master, a sublabel of Pony Canyon.
ILLUMINA are dropped from Flight Master and instead go on as an independent band.
ILLUMINA sign to the indies label Tricycle Entertainment.

Illumina perform one more live to celebrate the 20th anniversary of going major, entitled "One Night Stand", before officially disbanding again.
