D'ESPAIRSRAY is a semi-active visual kei band in Tokyo. They are part of the loud kei subgenre. They have been active since 1999.
I will forever be a fan of this band. Every album (even mini albums/singles) were bangers. I'm more partial to before they toured the US. Though I will perma regret not seeing them with MUCC + A7X during taste of chaos.
The ray of despair? I prefer to think that the name was inspired by the Marshal of France, but also president of the Société de Géographie and member of the Académie Française, Louis Franchet d'Espèrey .
