D'ESPAIRSRAY was a visual kei band in Tokyo. They were part of the loud kei subgenre. They were active from 1999 to 2011 and are now disbanded.
The ray of despair? I prefer to think that the name was inspired by the Marshal of France, but also president of the Société de Géographie and member of the Académie Française, Louis Franchet d'Espèrey .
