PROMISES
I lie awake at night
Thinking of you and me
I try to make sense of it
Is this how it's meant to be
I pick up my phone
Almost dial your number
But the pain strikes my heart
The pain that's as fierce as thunder
I let my tears flow
And I try to fall asleep
And all those broken promises
Of you and me・・・ I believed・・・
That we were destined to be together
I found my strength in your sweet embrace
You always said to me there's no place you'd rather be in
All the lies you told to me
They cut so deep
Morning comes again
And I'm still wide awake
I think of all those things
I did just for your sake
Again my tears flow
And I try to fall asleep
All those broken promises
Destroying me・・・ I believed
That we were destined to be together
I found my strength in your sweet embrace
You always said to me there's no place you'd rather be in
All the lies you told to me
They cut so deep
All those feelings thrown away
Nothing's gonna be the same way it was before
I was just a toy to you
Nothing seems to be true anymore
You left me alone・・・
Oh we were destined to be together
I found my strength in your sweet embrace
You always said to me there's no place you'd rather be in
All the lies you told to me
They cut so deep
