On May 25th, the pioneering Visual Kei band AURA officially confirmed the addition of guitarist Yuichiro Szk (鈴木友一朗) to their lineup.

The band, considered a forerunner of visual kei, made their major debut in 1989 after appearing on TV program Ikaten (イカ天).

AURA disbanded in 1992 before reuniting for a 20th-anniversary concert in 2006, which ultimately led the group to resume their activities. After guitarist Pie tragically passed away from lung cancer in 2013, the band continued with Taiji Fujimoto, formerly of JUDY AND MARY and D.T.R, serving as a support guitarist.

Born in 1994, Yuichiro has been a professional guitarist since the age of 19. He began his career by supporting numerous well-known artists and participating in various events. He is also active with his solo project, SZK PROJECT.

Despite the generational gap between the original members and Yuichiro, the band's statements reflect a shared commitment to moving AURA forward and delivering the best possible sound. Vocalist REDS stated: "We aim to be a 100-year band, and we are currently diligently preparing to deliver the best possible sound so that we can pass on the baton of AURA that we have inherited to the next generation. Please look forward to it."
