The lolita-styled guitarist maonyoro (まおにょろ) has announced their first full album!

Maonyoro collaboration with Royal Princess Alice

Guitarist and songwriter mao, who is currently active with the Zënit Music Factory (ジェナイトミュージックファクトリー) band CRUEL REASON, has been doing solo work under the name Maonyoro since 2018. As a culmination of this solo work, they've announced their first full album, set for a winter release, in collaboration with lolita fashion brand Royal Princess Alice.

For the production of the album, several guest vocalists from across genres have decided to participate. These include Yui (唯), vocalist of umbrella which is active in the visual kei scene; HALCA [ex-HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR~SYN], who was active in the major scene; Aya Majiro (真白 彩), who sung the theme song for the Nintendo Switch game “AWAY: Journey to the Unexpected;” and more.

Guest musicians aside, Mao's duties this time included not only song writing and guitar, but also producing, lyrics, recording, and artwork.

The album title, Catharsis, is a word which means “relief.” This title was chosen because, in this difficult time for the world, Mao hopes to be part of the “relief” for people suffering through things, whether big or small.
