We've received comments from Visual-Hakase Noru (ヴィジュアル博士のる) [Călătorie (Călătorie-カラトリア-)] and the artists involved in his omnibus!
The “non-vkei” omnibus, NO VISUAL, NO LIFE~GIANT KILLING~, was released on December 12th. In part ①, the organizer of the release, Visual-Hakase Noru (ヴィジュアル博士のる), was kind enough to grant us an interview. Now, the participating artists have granted us exclusive comments!
Please read on to learn about each artist's contribution!

Călătorie (Călătorie-カラトリア-)
This song was written for my 12-consecutive-month release campaign, but was rejected.
In my mind, this is “a white song that a 90s~00s kote kei band would put at the end of one of their singles.” I hope you can get that vibe from it too.
I tried to make this a simple composition that incorporates as many conflicting elements as possible.
Basically, our band's focus is on melodic punk, but our two guitarists are so influenced by vkei from the early 90s that we created this song with a LUNA SEA-ish approach.
While everyone's work is of high quality, and this one has a more amateurish feel, I really put my heart and soul into it. It's a song with lots of different elements, so in a way you can enjoy an “omnibus” feeling from this one song.
I wrote the song KOTONONE specifically for this release. The vkei-ish concepts of wanting to be with someone and the madness of love are intertwined in a dark rock song that mixes in elements of classical Japanese music. This omnibus is one where you can hear a wide range of genres from visual kei to neo visual and beyond. We look forward to you hearing it!

KAIKO Chuu (KAIKO虫)
In line with the theme of the omnibus, this song was created with the concept of a visual kei band from that time incorporating elements of other genres.
To express the world of the lyrics, we used vocals from Fudda and anz, as well as acoustic guitar.
The theme of Overture is “a fresh start toward adventure.” We hope that you can imagine a fantastic landscape of grasslands under a starry sky, centered around the folk style of music.
-On this day we pray that you start the journey toward finding your once-abandoned dream-
This was one of our representative songs at the time. [Ed. note: Sorcier;glace was an actual vkei band that used to be active, but never released any music. This track is a recording from one of their past lives.]
Stardust One is a 4-vocalist “solo unit” that belongs to Star Mine Music. This is our first song.
The song's message is one of “someday the light will surely shine through, even in the midst of difficult circumstances.” Please listen to the song and experience the feelings that only the four of us can create as our voices overlap.
I sang with all of my strength for this song. It's a great honor to be among these other wonderful artists, and I'd be honored if you could listen. Thank you.

Akito feat.kuwa(from vkdb) (暁人 feat.kuwa(from vkdb))
This time, I had a personal challenge of following orders from Mr. kuwa, so I'd like you to listen and try to guess what kind of song he wanted. [Ed. note: Mr. kuwa is the owner of the famous visual kei database vkdb.jp.]
This is an omnibus with a great variety of participants and songs, so I'm looking forward to enjoying it as a listener.

GRAND GARDE (グランギャルド)
Some of the songs on this omnibus are written by people who really like visual kei, while others take a completely new approach. So it's an album you definitely won't get tired of.
As far as my own song, it's one that expresses my love for fans and the people I will meet in the future.
-
OUZY OS BOURNE (王子オズボーン)
It's a song about my own incompetence in the face of a fleeting love.
-
Okazaki (岡崎)
I'm Okazaki (岡崎) from Watanuki (わたぬき). When I was in highschool, I was fascinated by visual kei and wanted to be in that kind of band. In the end, I didn't; but I did write songs heavily influenced by visual kei.
About 40% of the melody and lyrics of Ftencive Cuef, which is the song included in this album, were written when I was in highschool and I hadn't had a reason to release them. When the idea of this omnibus came out, I decided that I had to release it here or else it would never be put out into the world!
It's been sitting around for 20 years, so it's fully fermented. I hope you enjoy it.
-
Otonashi Hotaru (音無蛍)
This is Visual Kei song to resque an awkward age of a man who could NOT devote his awkward age to Visual Kei.
-
Sakana-SAKANA。- (咲花-サカナ。-)
I wrote this song for a female vocalist band about 17 or 18 years ago, but this is the first time I've actually recorded it. I didn't change the key so the high notes were challenging, but the result is a familiar setsuna pop song that I hope many people will try to sing.
-
Jingai Shouten from Megami Ren (人外商店 from 巡神蓮)
It's been a while since I made a song with vocals. Since it's an omnibus, I tried making a cool rock song that fits female vocals while still fitting within visual kei.
It's really good, so please listen to it. Don't miss the powerful vocals of Megami Ren (巡神蓮)!
-
Syuri Shinbashi (新橋朱里)
It's a song I'm really attached to. I hope you enjoy it.
-
Nakamura Muku (中村椋)
The contribution of Nakamura Muku (中村椋), Shoka no Kage (書架の翳), is a piece of yuri literature.
The setting is a quiet library.
Two people sit across from each other.
Suddenly, rain and thunder.
--Blackout
Suddenly, a dim light fills the gap between them--
Barely visible within the darkness, “something” takes form.
As if to escape even the faintest rays of light coming in through the window,
it pulls the sleeves of “you” and “me” together, and slips back between the bookshelves・・・・・・
-
Natsuki (夏姫)
This is an album by vkei lovers for vkei lovers, packed with delicious visual kei✝ Please take your fill!
-
maonyoro (まおにょろ)
The song HELLO (ハロー) included was my theme for 2021 and was made with the idea of “relief.” It's the kind of work that condenses the impurities of the soul into an energy that's amplified by the power of the guest vocalist. Please touch it and let it sublimate your soul.
-
Rojiurado (路地裏堂)
Rojiurado (路地裏堂) is the private brand of umbrella's vocalist Yui (唯). For this work, I released my first song.
I wrote about my friends who dreamed and aspired to become musicians, and the feelings of a person watching time flow by.

DIVERS † CROIX (色々な十字架)
In order to incorporate gothic elements that come from one style of visual kei, we supplemented our band sound with pipe organs and harpsichord. For the chord progressions, we use a lot of 7th chords and add9 chords to keep the weirdness and gothic atmosphere throughout the intense song.
Since tacato guitar is a popular technique within visual kei, we put it on full display in this song, and hope you pay attention to that.
DIVERS † CROIX (色々な十字架) started as a one-off, non-visual project, but just like this omnibus we had so much fun creating a visual kei-ish world that we now work in the real vkei world.
I hope that this omnibus will continue in the future, and that we can become a force to be reckoned with within the visual kei industry.
