The visual kei circuit event, MASKED 2026, is scheduled for May 22nd and 23rd, 2026. To celebrate, MASKED has launched a global fan project called “20-word messages for your favorite band.”

The project is accepting submissions from fans both in Japan and abroad, with the goal of “expressing your feelings for your favorite band in about 20 words.” You can write about any band!

Submissions are accepted through January 12th.

The first featured band has already been released: DIR EN GREY. The final product is a MV by the band with a scroll of comments at the bottom, with such heartfelt messages as “Kyo's voice transcends the limits of emotion.”

This is a chance to immortalize your love for your favorite band!
