Can you really start from the bottom when you start under UCP? They are rather talented musicians and it's totally different to have Kisaki behind you. People will try their music anyway. ^^; Of course some old fans won't follow PERESTROIKA, especially if their style really is different from Nega's. Good for them, at least someone cares about music. "it's not Nega" is an amusing argument, though, if people don't even give a chance.
Yeah but Nega hasn't yet disbanded and SAN said they will not disband. Luckily laugh I want to hear Haunted Jealousy live someday... It's refreshing to try something else sometimes, right? Doesn't quite make them "trolls" or anything, as people are complaining.
I believe too that they can be a good band, but I seriously doubt that they'd go major. Why only UCP would be involved then? It's easier to get back to Nega when people you work with are same all the time. ...If they don't start to like PERESTROIKA more after all.

I selected 'Disappointed' and 'Don't care' but to be honest my real reaction was literally LOL!
We where all trolled so hard by this!! Oh man! haha! Anyway, I don't care to much because I really don't follow Nega and I wasn't that heavily into SHIVA so I wasn't hung up on the idea of SHIVA members being in this band. So I'm not really that disappointed, but I am disappointed that it's more or less just Nega. It's always exciting when UC picks up a new band and was interested in hearing a new band. Since it's just Nega, it's like 'Oh, it's just you guys?'

I have to be the first person to say that I wasn't surprised at all. I'm actually shocked that so many people are taken by surprise. @_@
When I saw information posted about the flyer, I thought (first, that the sillouhettes really look like Nega poses, like on their last flyer ;), this perestroika, revolution, idea sounds like Nega's ideology at the moment. They've been talking about wanting to make changes in the current visual scene because of a dissatisfaction with the condition that it's in now, which is also the central theme of their song NeoDestruction. It's true that you've heard of this talk from other people too, but they seemed to have been rather fixated on it. Along with the break that they were taking from Nega (for the purpose of evolving, improving, NOT disbanding ;;), the timing made it seem only logical that it was them. To me at least, a lot of it is the fact that they've been working for so long, and they've built up this sizable fanbase, only to start again from the bottom. I know many fans will follow them because “it's Nega,” but I know that a lot of fans won't follow them, because “it's not Nega.”
I understand why SUGAR FOLKFULL essentially disbanded and then came back as Dali; they had tons of member problems, their main songwriter left, the sound was completely different, etc., etc. I just don't think any of that applies in this case. It's strange!
But in any case, Nega has matured a lot lately, so it should be a really good band. Maybe it's their way of saying “we want to go major!”

Omg stop the rumour spreading about Nega disbanding flaps around madly ~(;_;)~ Nega members have had to continually repeat and insist in their blogs and MCs (and repeating what they said in their MCs on their blogs) that they are really really really not disbanding, losing members, or anything bad because everybody keeps insisting that they will. Yuu said today in his blog that if there was the chance that the 4 of them go separate ways, he doesn't want to go into a new band with any other people.
And, about that disbanding and reforming idea... Yuu said Nega formed with the intention of never disbanding... (image of 80 year-olds playing to a shriveled audience @_@?!)

Am I the only who isn't confused after first surprise reaction? Maybe they just didn't have an inspiration for Nega just now, but still wanted to make music. And you don't actually live with only Ameba petas - so unlikely as Nega was their only job. Who knows, but... I think that their music will be something different than Nega - bad thing, that I can't believe Jin's voice to sound good with any other type of music. Let's see. And Nega will be back after they have tried something different. If they want to continue it anymore after it.

It's just how the website is set up; “NOW PLAYING” is more or less “hard coded” into the layout, so it will appear on every artist page. The maintainer only changes the blue text that actually gives the song title. So yeah, just laziness on their parts!

I didn't vote, because my feelings are more like excited and curious.
I never liked Nega. I wanted to, I really wanted to, since I could listen to all other Under Code bands, but never Nega. I tried, over and over again listen to their songs and like just one of them. Yet I couldn't.
Now, if this band turns out to be something different than Nega... It just might give me the opportunity to like... "Nega". You know... And I'm kind of excited about that.

And I was all hyped about this band... Looks like for nothing now. I am very disappointed with this news, not only because none of the Siva members returned, but because it's pretty much the same exact thing only with different names. I thought that with such a description, UC would team up their fiercest musicians and make a really wicked session group. Silly me, huh. Not to diss Nega or anything, but they could've just said they're gonna play as an alter ego band before; I would've still been excited. The whole "we're going on a hiatus!!!"-thing only to come back with another name (and maybe style) seems just ridiculous to me.
