DOOM release their first full length album "No More Pain...", which reaches number 1 on the Oricon indies charts.
DOOM become a major act and sign to Invitation.
DOOM play at a few livehouses in NYC, including the famous CBGB's. Their performance went over so well, that DOOM came back in 1989 to do a mini-tour across the Eastern part of the US.

DOOM are dropped from Invitation, and instead sign to the indies label ALZHEIMER.
Due to the poor health of Takashi Fujita (藤田タカシ), DOOM go on a hiatus
Bassist Kou Morota (諸田コウ) tragically passes away from a mysterious accident that leaves him drowned. The remaining two members of DOOM, Takashi Fujita (藤田タカシ) and drummer PAZZ, decide to reunite and resume the activities of DOOM.
