Seriously, Oideyo! Yūreiz might be one of the best new bands to drop in Visual Kei in a long while.

The chain of events surrounding them is truly tragic. This is because they were one of the top ten most highly anticipated bands—particularly within the unique subgenre known as the Menhera Kei—expected to lead the scene and exert a profound influence on the next generation of Visual Kei bands. Their vocalist possessed a distinctive, ethereal quality; their playing style was highly idiosyncratic, grandiose, and technically sophisticated, yet it carried an undercurrent of something unsettling and jarring—a sound akin to a broken hairdryer. The interplay between the texture of the vocals and the atmosphere evoked by their music videos—which often called to mind abandoned hospitals—created a beauty that was at once eerie and utterly unique. Their departure is, without a doubt, a truly lamentable loss.
