Love this EP! I got the dvd edition because the 0.5Byou no koi mv was so good, the song is incredible and exactly the genre direction I've been hoping SID would go in, I love harder rock so it's amazing to see my favorite band embrace a heavier sound. 0.5Byou no koi is easily the best song, it's especially interesting because it's a prequel to the 2007 b-side "propose", a wild choice to bring back the story of the song in 2025, but it really worked and gave the EP a raw, bouncier feeling that their last album (Umibe) kind of lacked for me. I wouldn't say the EP exactly captures earlier SID energy, it feels more like they are building on their current direction with elements of their earlier work, just with way more skill and experience. It feels like they took what they've been doing in solo projects and brought it together for this amazing EP.
The concept is really interesting too, dressing in ordinary suits, toning down looks, but being lyrically wild and dangerous, all to show the dark sides of ordinary people- that's just my interpretation though.
This is just a really cool direction for the band to go in!! This was my first time getting a release when it came out, so it was special to me that it was from my favorite band. <3
