This demotape is probably fake, but the extent of its fakeness is unclear.

The release was first mentioned in KISAKI's history book, BEYOND THE KINGDOM, but has come into question because its title and cover art as the same as a demotape also called Ruri no Shizuku (瑠璃の雫) by the band INSANITY. And in an unusual coincidence, the first track of this release is apparently called insanity. (A fake MP3 rip of this demotape shared among internet traders is simply a rip of the INSANITY demotape with altered metadata.)

This has led to speculation that the demotape as described in BEYOND THE KINGDOM never existed, or that SHËY≠DË themselves never existed. However, the band is 100% confirmed to be real, and it would not be completely unheard of for a band in the 90s to use another band's cover art or release title (although the usage here would still be unusually brazen). Details are unclear.
