MORPHINE (モルヒネ) has posthumously released a new best-of album.
MORPHINE BEST ALBUM 2017-2018 (モルヒネBEST ALBUM 2017-2018) was made available for streaming on July 1st. It contains 13 tracks, made out of mostly their "Izonshou STRAWBERRY (依存症ストロベリー)" and "Boku to Zetsubou (僕と絶望)" releases.
MORPHINE (モルヒネ) broke up back in 2018, and were a quintessential example of "menhera-kei" at the end of 00's. Originally formed as the session band Alice Syndrome, which turned into BAKU (バク。) until band changed their name for a second time in mid-2017, restarting with the concept "Kono Itami ni Kiku Kusuri wo Kudasai (この痛みに効く薬をください)" (Eng: "Please give me medicine for this pain").
MORPHINE (モルヒネ) broke up at the end of 2018 after the departure of their drummer, Hisaki (陽咲).
Most of the members of MORPHINE (モルヒネ) are now in MAMA., who also released their first album this month. MORPHINE (モルヒネ) held a revival performance on June 21st, 2023.
