Trees of life is formed by the art design group T.o.L, who were famous for their work with hide.

After independently recording their own PV for their song “oneday for maria”, Trees of life are then signed to hide’s label LEMONed.
Trees of life go on a hiatus, although the core members remain active in T.o.L
T.o.L. begin work on their first anime film TAMALA2010 a punk cat in space. In order to do soundtrack work for the film, T.o.L. resurrect Trees of life, although without Vo. 斉藤和弘.
