Solo project LOVERS forms in Tokyo (東京)東京.
Vocalist KUMA was a personal assistant/roadie for hide during his time with X JAPAN, and was known for his close relationship as a junior of hide. KUMA often ended shows with ROCKET DIVE and frequently used the number “12/13” in his activity (hide's birthday). Additionally, it is said that hide helped compose at least two of songs. Due to this relationship, he had various industry connections that might seem surprising compared to his relatively small-scale activities.
Discogs credits KUMA as drummer for the band Kakitsubata (かきつばた), but this seems like a mistake.
First live is held at the hide tribute event, MIX LEMONed JELLY.
The project appears on TV program HOT WAVE.

LOVERS seemingly disbands
In late 2002, KUMA founded monster-factory, a company seemingly dedicated to event organization, hair and makeup, and other band support activities. Their website also featured interviews with bands such as Charlotte (しゃるろっと) and Vanilla.
At the same time, he seemingly founded NERVE RECORD, a more traditional label, to which Vanilla and Charlotte (しゃるろっと) were signed. KUMA's involvement probably explains why the label signed the hide-inspired solo project, JUN in 2007.
monster-factory seemingly existed through at least 2010, and NERVE RECORD through at least 2014.
