This band isn't Showa Kayou at all and I feel like the people tagging this band as such do not know what the term means.
Showa Kayou is the pop music that was made when Emperor Showa was in power, it's any pop music made between 1926 and 1989. It is not necessarily "militaristic", and most people in Japan who listen to Showa Kayou, mainly listen to ballad stuff. It's essentially "Old People Music" in Japan. Even then, Kane to Juusei doesn't even sound anything like the actual militaristic stuff, they're wearing Militaristic uniforms but their sound is 2000s Kote-Kei, not Showa Kayou
Here's a compilation of actual Showa Kayou, none of which sounds like KTJ \

Aren't their uniforms not even Showa nor military, but more evocative of the Taisho era 詰襟 (tsumeeri) or 学蘭 (gakuran) style school uniforms that were an evolution of military uniforms?
