GRAND SLUM (グランド・スラム) forms under EXPLOSION RECORDS in Saitama (埼玉)埼玉.
The band history of the members is somewhat unclear.
LES ENFANTS TERRIBLES states that the bassist and drummer were previously in RECEPTION (レセプション) and the guitarist was previously in GRAZIA. However the text is somewhat unclear and may have some sort of mistake as it refers to the aforementioned three people as “2 people” within the same sentence.
GRAZIA had a guitarist named MASAKI MIYAGAWA and a drummer named TAKAHIRO MURASHIMA, which might imply that MASA and TAKA from GRAND SLUM are the same people. However, in the GRAND SLUM Live demotape, MASA is credited as MASAHIRO NOMURA and TAKA is credited as TAKAHIRO MURASHIMA, which implies that they are indeed different people.
Unfortunately, there is very little information about GRAZIA and no information about RECEPTION (レセプション), so details remain unclear.
Sometime after February, GRAND SLUM disbands
Around this time, BLUE SAUCE BLOOD drummer DAXX is mentioned in a live event, and is listed as “BLUE SAUCE BLOOD, ex-MURABAS, SILVER DOGGS, GRAND SLUM”. However, it is likely that this was a typo as he is only known to have participated in the similarly-named GRAND SLAM.
One-day(?) revival is held. A flyer for the event shows five members, but other details are completely unknown.
GRAND SLUM was a non-vkei band in Saitama. They were active from 1987 to 1991 and are now disbanded.
