I've listened to them casually for years, and never saw that that was their concept. lol is there any real meaning behind that? Also random, I initially thought they were so clever for katakana-izing the name of the historic character, Gilgamesh, for their band name, only to learn they named themselves after the Final Fantasy character of the same name. 😅 Still a great band name.

They only use 'girugämesh' in the early peroid 2006-2010, but just use 'girugamesh' since 2010. Now they official logo and twitter just use 'girugamesh'. The very early period should be 'ギルガメッシュ'.
