Hi all! Just wanted to give some early status updates regarding the live/schedule system.

Last night, I implemented some back end changes that will make improvements easier. I'll make a more detailed, public post about this in the future, but here's the gist of it:

• When adding lives to an artist's biography, livehouse names should work with more variations (with or without city, with incorrect spacing, etc.).
• A "nickname" system has been implemented for livehouses that are commonly misspelled, or commonly spelled with katakana, etc.
• When removing a live from an artist's biography, they will be completely uncoupled from that live (previously, it would still count toward their "popularity").
• Livehouse name, area, capacity, and parent company can now be edited. A separate field, "changed name to", can now be used for livehouses which change their names (thus retaining the old name for live performed there prior to the name change).
• Many more livehouses have been added, and capacity has been added to many of these.

The following changes will make adding lives "less easy", but should help maintain quality:

• Livehouses must now be added via a separate page. Rules have been written out for adding livehouses.
• Livehouse areas/cities may only be added by certain admin users (e.g. myself, for the time being).
• When adding lives to an artist bio, if the format is wrong, or the livehouse name isn't recognized, the "-schedule" tag will not be applied.

And here's what I need to work on:

• Due to the back end changes, certain schedule and livehouse data has been duplicated. I will be performing several automated cleanups of the data.
• A "merge livehouse" feature is in the works, for when a livehouse is accidentally added twice (though this should happen less than in the past).
• The "edit livehouses" page needs some additional sorting features.

Adding titles to lives will be implemented, but I'm still debating on the best way to do this:

1. We could keep the current system of having separate lines in the bio, and the live's title could be automatically linked to the schedule, e.g. "2018-08-09 Sponsored event, blah blah, is held. -live / 2018-08-09 holiday shinjuku -schedule".
2. I've already implemented the ability to add other artists to a live, like so: "2018-08-09 holiday shinjuku - pentagon, realies -schedule". I could make it possible to add the live title in the same line, e.g. "2018-08-09 holiday shinjuku - pentagon, realies - GOEMON PRESENTS whateverfest -schedule".
3. We could continue having lives added via the artist bio, but then have a completely separate page where specific live details (title, subtitle, organizing label, etc.) could be added. I've had this set up in the past, and it's the best way to get granular control, but it's just a beast to set up, and not fun to use.
