The term that the band used regarding Mumeichan (銘ちゃん) was touketsu (凍結), which can be translated as either “frozen” or “suspended.” The phrase is most often used to imply a non-permanent stop to activity. The announcement was made via a Twitcast that was advertised in a tongue-in-cheek manner. It's unclear if this means that he voluntarily seceded, or was fired, or was taking a temporary leave of absence.
