KAMIJO has announced a slew of new activity!

On October 31st, 2026, at Webster Hall in New York, KAMIJO will hold a Halloween Party titled The Vampyre Masquerade.

The first part features a solo rock show by KAMIJO with a gorgeous support lineup: guitar by CANARY KASEY, who many of you know from the US-based visual kei project Canary Complex; guitar by Iyoda Kohei; bass by MASASHI of Versailles; and drums by American Raanen Bozzio.

The second part of the night is a Masquerade Ball with a special appearance by Mana [MALICE MIZER~Moi dix Mois] and DJ set by DJ SiSeN.

This follows his signature US debut show on July 18 in LA, Sanctus of The Damned featuring support members G. Kohei Iyoda, G. YUKI, B. Shigure, and D. shuji. A post-concert event will be held later that night at a secret location, exclusively for members of his new fanclub.

Lastly, KAMIJO recently announced a Europe tour for later this year, Sanctuary of Europe, starting in Finland in September and ending in Hungary in October. Details below:

Kagerou (蜉蝣) is now on streaming!

The legendary band who heavily influenced the visual kei scene in the early 2000s has their discography available now on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Youtube Music and more!

Known for their chaotic and moody tracks such as "XII dizzy," "Yubikiri," and "Yuugure no Shazai," Kagerou's impact along with their contemporaries MERRY (メリー) and MUCC (referred to as the "three great families") is deeply embeded within the history of visual kei.

Recently MERRY announced that their July 30th 25th anniversary live -Many Merry Days- will feature a "three great families" (御三家) reunion titled "Daisuke Matsuri!!" (大佑祭り!!) named after the late Kagerou vocalist. The performance will include MUCC and former Kagerou members Kazu, Ewana, and Shizumi.

Visual kei Vtuber CiXEN (詩泉-CiXEN-) is holding an online visual kei DJ event on June 27, VKDJ vol.1 Visual Rock Streaming Party on Twitch!

The event is fully licensed via the TwitchDJ system, and will feature artists from labels like Happinet, Free-Will, EMI Music Japan, UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP, and so on.

It will feature a non-stop 2 hour mix of songs from over 30 bands, from the 1990s through today. Due to the rights restrictions, it will only be viewable in realtime, so don't miss your chance to watch tomorrow, June 27 at 09:00 EST / 22:00 JST!

Although supported by vkgy, the event is totally put together by CiXEN (詩泉-CiXEN-), who left his comment:

VKDJ is an event where we can all listen to a variety of vkei songs online! As long as you have a smartphone or PC, you can listen, even without a Twitch account.

Having witnessed club events like Dark Castle over the years, I wondered if it would be possible to create a DJ event dedicated to visual kei. Though this initiative, we want to take the first step in creating new encounters, where vkei fans from around the world can discover new bands, listen to their music, and attend their shows. We created this web event out of passion for the V-ROCK scene.

We hope to play a part in keeping the flame of the ever-evolving visual kei scene alive by playing the music that such bands have poured their hearts into creating.

WITH SEXY has announced a re-recorded best album!

The band [officially] formed in 1991 in Fukuoka (福岡), but became known in 1996 after joining Soleil and reaching their final lineup of SYO, RINNE, KAIE, KAIKI, and KEI. They disbanded in 1998, but have held occasional one-day revivals since 2015.

Now, in celebration of their 35th anniversary, WITH SEXY has announced a best album called Love and ..., set to release on September 15th. A teaser of the song SEPIA has been released:

BabyKingdom have recently announced that they will pause activities and drummer Toramaru (虎丸) will leave the band.

Toramaru's departure will take place following his birthday live on October 6th which will be held at Shibuya WWW. The band will officialy start their hiatus following their December 30th live at BLAZE GOTANDA.

The reason given in the announcement for their drummer's departure is due to a worsening chronic illness. The band also expresses their gratitude to their fans and confirms they will complete their remaining tour dates from October 7th onward as a trio.

Kuroyume (黒夢) will be releasing two self-cover albums this summer, bringing new takes on their two final albums of their first period of activity: Corkscrew and Drug TReatment.

With it comes two music videos. The first is a new take on their most popular song, "Shounen (少年)".

Well, not really. In an official announcement shared by Deshabillz, guitarist Erina was allegedly "fired" for "being distracted by the bartender and making mistake after mistake."

As "punishment", he had to walk home himself and pay for unsold merch, but Shun took pity on him and let him back into the band.

Erina quote-tweeted the announcement saying that he'll try his best to "gradually reduce the frequency" this happens, and as an apology they will be releasing a new song written by him on August 22nd.

The band ends their important, and extremely serious, announcement by saying they performed an encore as a 4-man group and realized they needed Erina after all.
