Mysterious masked band TAMATAMA revealed?!

Information about a mysterious new band, TAMATAMA (Tentative), has been suddenly released.

Virtually nothing is known about the band, except that their odd first artist photo: every member appears to be an “egg.” Their faces, names, and identities are a complete mystery—the only thing we know for sure is that they're eggs 🥚

The band has announced an upcoming MV spot, but promise that “you'll understand absolutely nothing after listening to it.” Is TAMATAMA's appearance destiny, or was it just tamatama {coincidence}?

Visual kei project MASKED has revealed its Autumn 2026 live schedule, featuring the debut of MASKED BEYOND vol.1 alongside an eight-day showcase, MASKED HALLOWEEN 2026 -7days+1-.

MASKED is a project that aims to spread visual kei across the globe via media and live events. Following the success of MASKED 2026 earlier in the summer, the project has just announced the lineup for their Halloween event and a new collaboration with GRIP to produce a crossover showcase titled MASKED BEYOND.

Taking place at Shibuya clubasia on October 13th, MASKED BEYOND vol.1 features ARLEQUIN (アルルカン) and RAZOR alongside metalcore acts KALA and AZAMI.

MASKED HALLOWEEN 2026 -7days+1- kicks off on October 25th at SHIBUYA PLEASURE PLEASURE for eight consecutive themed nights. The lineup is packed with fun concepts like an acoustic night featuring Tatsurou of MUCC with ARLEQUIN, an opening duo night with Lime of KIZU (キズ) and Saki from Amai Bouryoku (甘い暴力), high-energy stages from acts like XAA-XAA (ザアザア) , NEÜRØMASK, sugar, and MAMA. , plus a special "zombie-themed" session band show featuring XANVALA's alter group "ZOMVALA," and even a visual kei cover night to close out. There's really something for everyone with this event.

SADIE announces new single Aku no Hana + new look

Sadie have announced a new single titled Aku no Hana (悪の花), scheduled for release on September 23rd, 2026.

Promising to deliver on the band's signature dark aesthetic and ensuing musical evolution since reviving in 2024, this single will also serve as the beginning of a new chapter for the band.

Listeners can expect that "Aku no Hana" which translates to "Flowers of Evil" will incorporate the band's modern sound whilst staying true to the sound the band has established since 2005. The band says that Aku no Hana embodies the intersection of beauty and madness with light and darkness. Much like the alluring bloom of the track's titular flower, listeners will surely be captivated by the track's aggressive sound and work that showcases the band's present-day evolution.

LIZA to release new digital single

LIZA has announced that they will be releasing a new digital single.

Kuchiru (朽チる) will be released on August 26, 2026, on digital platforms. The single contains two new songs, plus what looks to be either two instrumental versions or two remixes.

To celebrate, the band will be holding the oneman event Sen'nou Kaigi~ ANATA NO NouMISOU ni YudaNEMASU~ (洗脳会議~アナタノ脳ミソに委ネマス~), held at Tokyo Higashi-Koenji Niman Denatsu, on August 25th.

Jubaku Hyourei (呪縛憑霊) restarts activities

DazzlingBAD ~Jubaku Hyourei project~ (DazzlingBAD~呪縛憑霊project~) announced today that the special side-project would be reviving as a full-fledged band.

Under the shorter name Jubaku Hyourei (呪縛憑霊), the group will commence activities as their own entity, and even shared on Twitter that they would start having their own schedule outside of special events. They also officially declared their fans shall be called "憑人 (Yoribito)".

With their new era activity, drummer Kiro (also in DazzlingBAD) has joined under the moniker "黒縄隠密". His character's backstory is that he was a spy for his village that was deemed a traitor after bring their lord's collusion with the enemy to light. As punishment, he was bound to death by black ropes, then left on display for 10 days. His lingering resentment then manifested on his body in the form of countless eyes (hence, his new look!).

Additionally, their homepage has an announcement teasing the release of an upcoming second album. We don't have any further details beyond that, so stay tuned for more in the future.

ALiBi will hold a one day revival live in September and past footage from the band will soon be uploaded to Youtube!

ALiBi announced on July 19th that their revival live titled "LOVE & PEACE" will take place September 11th at EREN YOKOHAMA.

Vocalist Kai (カイ) will also upload past concert footage and the "Kira✫Meki Mirai" (キラ☆メキ未来) music video on his Youtube channel.

Given the band's recent reunion appearance at "LOOP ASH PRESENTS FINAL MASK" in May, this is great news for Arinko (ALiBi fans) to be able to see the band once more and enjoy their content!

KAMIJO has announced a slew of new activity!

On October 31st, 2026, at Webster Hall in New York, KAMIJO will hold a Halloween Party titled The Vampyre Masquerade.

The first part features a solo rock show by KAMIJO with a gorgeous support lineup: guitar by CANARY KASEY, who many of you know from the US-based visual kei project Canary Complex; guitar by Iyoda Kohei; bass by MASASHI of Versailles; and drums by American Raanen Bozzio.

The second part of the night is a Masquerade Ball with a special appearance by Mana [MALICE MIZER~Moi dix Mois] and DJ set by DJ SiSeN.

This follows his signature US debut show on July 18 in LA, Sanctus of The Damned featuring support members G. Kohei Iyoda, G. YUKI, B. Shigure, and D. shuji. A post-concert event will be held later that night at a secret location, exclusively for members of his new fanclub.

Lastly, KAMIJO recently announced a Europe tour for later this year, Sanctuary of Europe, starting in Finland in September and ending in Hungary in October. Details below:
