RAVE (レイヴ) announced two days ago that they will be leaving PS COMPANY after four years with the label.
RAVE (レイヴ) joined the Indie PSC. sublabel in 2014. In years previous, the sublabel had acted as an “incubator,” where indie bands could build momentum until they reached major status, at which time they would switch to PS COMPANY proper.
Unfortunately, behind-the-scenes issues seem to plague the company, as its once-healthy roster has dwindled to just the GazettE, Kra, and a number of semi-active solo artists. Any popular acts that the company once housed have either disbanded or let their contracts expire--RAVE (レイヴ) is only the latest to leave the label and attempt to make it on their own, following the LOTUS, D=OUT, A9, and MIYAVI.
On April 1, RAVE (レイヴ) will officially join their new label, 24RECORDS.
(This new, Fukuoka (福岡) based, indie label seems to be owned by DRUM GROUP, the same company that owns DRUM-branded livehouses and music shop SKULL ROSE.)
Their first release through the new label has already been announced: a two-type mini-album titled MENBUREsan Toorimasu。 (メンブレさん通ります。) will be released on May 30.
The band will also embark on a oneman tour, Sechigarasan Toorimasu。 (世知辛さん通ります。), on 2018-06-02 through 2018-07-01.
