- Its very sad, cause i know a many overseas fan ordered it...

But those were all from the singles chart ... That's different from the album chart. They're counted separately for a reason...you probably can't compare them like that.
Aside from that, oricon only counts sales from stores, not things like the merchandise table at lives. These don't matter much for major bands, but they do make up a big chunk of sales to indies bands. Even though the oricon website lists sales numbers for major artists, they're not listed for indies. So actually, we'll never know how many they sold until they decide to tell us =O

Yeah, you are right about that part. Each of Lin's releases sold less and less ;_; But at least the album placed on the indie top 10; it's better than nothing.
Please keep us updated if you find actual album sales chart! And thank you for always posting about Lin :D way, I will send you a private message on Facebook soon, so look for it!

no, i think its not good, cause the As if Forever Exists reached the #33 on the major oricon chart! Metamorphose #91, Silent to my Pain #78, Flowers Bloom #112, and its all major oricon chart.

Ah there it is. I checked oricon's indie album chart now, and Lin's album is #20. I thought it would be on 9/5 chart, but it was on 9/12 like you said.
So it's not so bad! I think #241 is their rank on the major chart, but they are an indie band so it's ok~
(Oricon's website is so confusing!)

no no no.... the CD's in Japan release almost always on Wednesday, and the Oricon doesnt count it until the next Monday, only the subsequent Monday, so one week later! so the first week means really "1,5 week" and the oricon profile shows the best position, and its the 241th... not better.

Ahhh, thanks for pointing that out. You're right, the 9/5 charts are the ones that would be relevant for first week sales. But I have no idea how to find them, do you? (Oricon's site sucks!)

I think maybe we should all back up our news items that we post here with sources that people can check, so we can get the information right. A lot of people who come here to read news see it as a reliable source, so let's try to keep our reputation >.<
I'm not familiar with reading oricon charts, but from what I can see there, the 2nd column says weekly and the 3rd says cumulative (I'll assume these are sales). You can see from most artist there that the weekly and total numbers are quite different. (I don't know how oricon works, but the release date for the album was 8/31, and the chart you have is from 9/12... is that still 1st week?)
What this post should have said was, from your oricon source it looks like this album sold less than 300 copies this week. (And people who liked the album should consider buying it... instead of assuming most people didn't buy it ;;;)
