Ikkou Sanada's solo project AMAMITSUTSUKI (アマミツゝキ) is now a formal band with two new official members.
Vocalist Ikkou Sanada (眞田一航) had started AMAMITSUTSUKI (アマミツゝキ) as his solo project at the end of December 2019. Back at around the end of 2019 and the early start of 2020, this would not have been much of a challenge even with the Tokyo Olympics coming at summer and the emergence of a new virus was only of minor interest in the news at best.
But even having hindsight did not exactly predict that said virus would become a global pandemic that disrupted the whole world for more than an entire year, and the crippling challenges caused by the pandemic have seen a number of bands either go into hiatus or disband entirely. This is especially challenging for those who tried to form a new band.
Despite the grim prospects, some still choose to take the risk and managed to persevere from it. And for Ikkou Sanada, in weathering through the COVID-19 pandemic that started from 2020 and still continues, the hard work and patience has clearly paid off as he now officially considers AMAMITSUTSUKI (アマミツゝキ) as a formal band.
Support bassist Ivy (who also plays for ANONYMOUS) and support drummer Lotto (who also plays for Fukuro (梟)) are now recognised as official members of the band from October 10th onwards.
