Event Anarchist Summit Takes place.
Vocalist CHIHIRO, aged 26, and drummer HIROSHI, aged 28, die after an accidental fall from a twenty meter high bridge over the Sumida River (隅田川, Sumida-gawa) during a PV shooting. Their deaths become a mystery with many different versions. However, it is usually deemed an accident because of the stunt they had wanted to perform. CHIHIRO was buried at the Makomanai Takino Cemetery (真駒内滝野霊園) and HIROSHI at the Satozuka Reien (里塚霊園).

THE PIASS regroups as an acoustic duo for two songs on the Anarchist Records II ~Subete no Family ni Sasagu~ (Anarchist Records II ~すべてのFamilyに捧ぐ~) compilation.

Bassist YOSHIO commits suicide, leaving TAKAYUKI as the sole living member. The reasons are unknown, once again fueling different speculations. YOSHIO was buried at the Hiragishi Cemetary.
Exactly three years after the first tragedy, THE PIASS revives with oneman Fukkatsu WANMAN GIG (復活ワンマンGIG).

Even though TETSUYA has already officially joined, THE PIASS's last live as a three-piece takes place on February 25th. TETSUYA will take over as vocalist with his first live appearance on March 25th at Shinjuku (新宿) 440.

By the end of 2008, THE PIASS leaves Anarchist Records to become independent.
Guitarists Chifu and Yūnosuke Tsubaki, bassist TENTEKE and drummer Toro join. All of the band members names starts with the letter "t", and they go in order of the Japanese alphabet. This Yūnosuke Tsubaki (瑠璃-ruri- from Rugia(g)Gram fame) is not the same Yūnosuke Tsubaki (SiN from BuZZ TRASH) that acted a support member before.
